PROJECT DETAILS: This project involved widening the driveway, installing a Versa-Lok retaining wall and steps.
A look at the project area before work began.
The lawn area next to the driveway is excavated to expand the driveway and prepare for the retaining wall and step installation.
After work is completed, you can see how the driveway was expanded simply by curving the retaining wall. An asphalt contractor installed the new driveway after we had completed installing the retaining wall.
A look at the back of the wall while it was being installed. You can see the geo-grid in between the layers of block. This grid gives extra reinforcement to the wall.

The steps after completion. The steps and connecting flowerbed were done in the same color and style of Versa-Lok as was the wall.
The walkway was redone in omni-stone and its colors compliment the Versa-Lok perfectly.
Here is another look at the excavation to expand the driveway and set up for the new retaining wall.
A final look at the completed wall and expanded driveway. The curvature of the wall makes the front of the home appear more open and inviting.
